Description This is a Tafel Faradic electotherapy machine. It is a wooden case which holds a battery, relay/coil, switch and two electrodes. The wooden case has a rounded edged base. The cabinet is cut in half diagonally and opens on hinges to the right. It has a small German silver latch on the left that secures the cabinet. The case has a swivel handle and a manufacturer's tag screwed to the top. Inside the case there is a cutout to hold the red and black dry battery with brass cathode and anode on top. There are wooden fixtures on each side of battery that hold chrome plated cylindrical "shell" electrodes. They have green and red silk insulated wires. The wires plug into sockets above the switch and coil/relay above the battery. There is a purple crepe lining on the inside of front with plated brackets screwed at top.
