Notes |
Cesar Chelor was an enslaved person of Francis Nicholson, the earliest documented American planemaker. Nicholson freed Chelor in his 1753 will, giving him his bedstead, bedding, a variety of tools, ten acres of land, and graving and timber rights. Chelor died in 1784 in Wrentham, Massachusetts. |
