Description This is an electrified Argand lamp made of cast brass. The rectangular base is raised on four clawed feet. The stem is decorated with leaves and flowers, and is topped with an urn-shaped oil reservoir. The reservoir rim is decorated with swans over a gadrooned border. A flame finial tops the piece. At one point, crystal prisms were suspended from the rim of the urn. One fluted and scrolled branch arm attaches to the middle of the stem and supports a light fixture hammered with a decoration of flowers and vines. The fixture was once topped with a tulip shaped glass globe with an etched floral design that fit into a scalloped bracket at the top of the fixture.
