Notes Article in file, "Mrs. Green donated a 150 year old handmade coverlet... Nancy Morgan, the grandmother of the late Mrs. Green hand wove the coverlet from the wool of sheep which they raised on their Letcher County farm near Hyden... During the Civil War, Mrs. Green's grandfather Zacharia Morgan joined the Union Army and left the farm to fight in the war. During that time a band of Confederates came to the Morgan farm and took most of their food and clothing, including the prized coverlet... Nancy Morgan...courageously went to the Confederate camp that night and demanded the return of some blankets and some clothing. The coverlet was among those returned. Nancy Morgan had nine children."
