Description This is a circular political campaign button from Joe Biden's 1988 United States Presidential campaign. It is a celluloid-type button with a safety-pin closure. The button has a white background with blue text that reads "Senator/ JOE BIDEN/ FOR PRESIDENT/1988." It also features a image of the state of Delaware on the left of the text with "DEL" written inside the borders. There is a blue Allied Printing Trades Council union label printed along the lower edge of the button. The maker's information is also printed along the bottom edge.
Notes Biden was forced out of the 1988 Democratic primaries after allegations that he used a British politicians speech without attribution.
