Description This mezzotint of Jenny Lind depicts her as a young woman seated on a chair to the right of a small table covered with a tablecloth. On the table, there is a flower filled urn. Jenny Lind is wearing a lace collar with brooch, two simple rings on her left hand, and black lace draped over a two tone striped dress. The belt around her waist is loose and has a sash style. Her hair is parted down the middle and she is looking straight forward. Below the image, there is small capitalized text that reads "Engraved by John Sartain from a daguerreotype by Richards." Below the information regarding the artists, there is an apparent signature of Jenny Lind. This mezzotint was engraved by John Sartain based on a daguerreotype by Frederick Richards (F.D. Richards).
