|Description||This is a woman's United States Air Force dress blues garrison cap. It is a dark blue polyester cap that is piped with a silver and dark blue cord. The hat has a light blue lining with a silver Lt. Colonel insignia pin on the proper left side.|
|Notes||Mary Frances Clark wore all of the uniforms in this collection during her many years of service in the Air Force (1965-1993). She was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky and was the second child of Ruth and James Clark. Mary joined the USAF as a dietitian in June 1965 with the rank of first lieutenant. She was assigned at Gunter Air Force Base Alabama for basic training and was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma as Chief, Medical Food Service. She retired in June of 1993 holding the rank of lieutenant colonel, the second highest rank obtaining in the Air Force for her profession.|
