Description This lithograph depicts a man and woman in theatrical costume posing on a porch between two fluted columns on pedestals.
The woman admires a ring being placed on her finger by the man, who stands behind and to her right.
She wears a bare shouldered gown with short sleeves and a peacock feather purse.
The man wears knee breeches, stockings, a plumed hat, cloak, and a rapier.
