Description This is a farrier's workbox. It is a simple wooden box with an open top. It is nailed together with wire nails and has butt joints. There is a wooden partition in the middle extending above the top of the sides. There is a hand hole cut in the top with a replacement piece of wood nailed into the top. There is a ''U" shaped strap nailed around the top and sides of the partition. It also has a wrought iron handle riveted to the top of the strap.
Notes Collected by the donor from antique stores, barns, etc. in southern Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky over the last thirty years.
