Catherine Jane Martin was the wife of Warren Viley whom she married on February 27, 1838. The daughter of William Holman Martin and Susanna Smith Hale, Catherine was born in June 18, 1821 and died in March 29, 1886.
Martha was the Viley's fourth child.
This painting was done by Troye when he was staying with the Vileys in the mid-1840s.
