Description This is an official Christmas card that was sent out by Earle C. Clements, Kentucky's 47th Governor. The front of the card features a black and white photo of the capitol building lit with lights at night. Underneath the photo, in black text, is typed, "KENTUCKY STATE CAPITOL AT NIGHT." The right edge has been intentionally tattered as part of the card's design. The inside left page of the card has a bouquet of 3 red poinsettas. The inside right page of the card has centered black text reading, "With very best wishes / for Christmas and the New Year / Governor and Mrs. Earle C. Clements." The back is blank.
Notes Earle Chester Clements was governor from 1947-1950.
