This is a political handbill for Henry H. Denhardt who served as the 34th Lieutenant Governor under Governor Fields from 1923 to 1927.
In November of 1936, Denhardt was charged with the murder of his girlfriend and tried in LaGrange. The trial ended witha hung jury.
Before he was able to complete a second trial, he was shot to death at the Armstrong Hotel in Shelbyville on September 20th, 1937.
