Object Name Teacup
Catalog Number 1907.1.1
Date 1850-1900
Material(s) Ceramic
Dimensions H-2.25 W-4 Dia-3.563 inches
Description This is small white decorative teacup with one handle. The lip and handle are accented in gold. There is a green ribbon-like accent around the top. The edges are slightly scalloped and the bottom has a curvy pattern as well. One one side is a floral design with pink and red flowers and greenery, as well as a gold filigree image. It looks like the image was cut off on the left side, perhaps a manufacturing flaw. On the other side is an image of the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado. There are rocks at the lower left, a train on the right, and a building in the background on the upper left. It says, "Summit of Pikes Peak" in black beneath the image. This image also looks like it was printed incorrectly, as it cuts off at the top.

On the back is a maker's mark, "Made in Germany" in green, written in a circle.
