Description This object is a delegate badge from the 1940 New York State Democratic Convention held in New York City. It has a brass pin frame with a plastic insert featuring "DELEGATE" printed in black. Below the pin hangs a red ribbon with the following printed in gold lettering: "DEMOCRATIC / STATE / CONVENTION / NEW YORK CITY / SEPTEMBER 30TH / 1940". Near the bottom below the lettering is a gold Allied Printing Trade Council Union Label seal. Stamped on the back of the pinbar, partially obscured by the ribbon, is "B. B. Co.". The rest of the maker's mark is completely hidden from view.
