Description There are three parts to this piece. Part A) There is a reprint of a lithograph of the original drawing of the steam-powered, duck-shaped flying vehicle superimposed over an 1841 view of the Louisville waterfront. There is a steamboat named the "DOVE" in the foreground. The steam-duck vehicle has two belching smokestacks on its shoulders, a bell on its neck, and a window and steam exhaust in its tale. Part B) is a small brochure describing the steam-duck. Part C is a press release from Youth Magazine.
Notes The original lithograph was published by the Literary Band of Louisville, 1841. This image was published by the Youth Group Magazines, 1943.
