Description This is a campaign button for Al Smith and Joe Robinson for the 1928 presidential election. It has a red, white and blue background. The text is in white and blue and reads "SMITH/AND/ROBINSON". This lithographed button has a straight pin enclosure and a maker's mark from the Greenduck Company on the back.
Notes Democrat Al Smith of New York lost the 1928 presidential election to Republican Herbert Hoover, largely because of his religion (Roman Catholicism) and his opposition to prohibition.
