Description This object is a delegate badge from the 1980 National Democratic Convention held in New York City. The top of the pin is plastic formed in the shape of a large beehive with "Utah, 'The Beehive State'" stamped in black in the center. Two ribbons are attached to the plastic pin: a purple ribbon on viewer left, and a red ribbon on viewer right. Printed vertically in white on the purple ribbon is "UTAH." The red ribbon features, "NDC 1980", also printed vertically in white.
Notes The 1980 National Democratic Convention nominated Jimmy Carter for president and Walter F. Mondale for vice president.
