Description This is a light weight white cotton petticoat. The skirt is made of five panels. One panel on either side of the tie closure is gathered into a wide waistband. The ties are cotton also.There are four wide tucks about eighteen inches from the waist. Below that there is a finer cotton piece sewn to the petticoat. On this additional piece there are three small tucks and a ruffle. The ruffle is scalloped with cutwork flowers and stems. Underneath the ruffle is another plain ruffle made of the same finer type of cotton.
