Description This quilt is an Aunt Eliza's Star pattern. There are fifty stars made of varying shades of brown, yellow, green and pink calico. Along the outside edge are twenty half stars. Using the edge with the sleeve as the top: there is a triangular shaped block with a V-shaped inset in the upper right corner. There is another one at the opposite corner on the lower left of the quilt. East block with a star is bordered by a one and one-half inch strip of cream and brown calico creating a diamond pattern. The piece is quilted in horizontal lines approximately one and one-half inches apart. The quilt is backed with a cream and brown calico that has alternating stripes of runs of flowers and a running geometric design. There are two white muslin patches on the back at the very bottom. One on the right corner and one in the middle. The binding edge is created by the folding over of the backing material.
