Description The bill is a 7th issue $10. Plate and serial number are unreadable. The bill has been encapsulated in a material similar to Japan paper. The paper has made most of the details on the note unreadable. The left edge has the word "TEN" in large letters. The central image has horses (according to Slabaugh p.68, the scene is of artillery). There is a circle with the number "10" in it in the upper right corner. The image of R.M.T. Hunter is in the lower right corner. The reverse has a web pattern in blue ink. The number "10" is in each corner. The word "TEN" is in large letters in the center.
Notes Robert M. T. Hunter served as secretary of state of the Confederate States of America.
