Notes |
This bodice was worn by Adsona Renaker in 1880. Adsona Renaker Martin (sometimes spelled Adsonia) was born on June 10, 1865 in Grant County, Kentucky, the daughter of William and Mary "Polly" Hedger Renaker (often spelled Renneckar). She married John Morgan Martin (1863-1933) in 1886 and Roger Hamon Martin (1860-1950), her husband's older brother, on October 6, 1936. Although childless herself, her obituary noted that she raised seven foster children. After her marriages she lived in Cynthiana, where she died on February 10, 1944. |
