Description |
This oar is roughly carved from a solid piece of hardwood and considered unfinished. One end is flat forming the blade which is about 4 ¾ inch wide and 24 inches long. The tip of the blade is flat and looks as if the carver was starting to make the tip flatter. The shaft is round and 53 inches long. It has a narrower circumference at the blade end than the handle end. The handle is simply a section carved with a narrower circumference and is 4 7/8 inches long. |
