Description |
This military badge is a World War ll German 3rd Class Wound Badge. This type of award was given not only to military personnel but also civilians. The 3rd Class Wound Badge is black to represent iron. At this time, these badges were either made of painted sheet brass or steel. It is oval in shape with a wreath border and helmet in the center over two crossed hand swords. The helmet has a swastika on it. On the reverse there is a straight needle pin closure. "U16" is stamped on the reverse, as well. |
