Notes |
Jeanie Artis Adams had a very successful dress shop in Lexington called Sew Fine, which was located on Euclid Ave. in Chevy Chase. By 1993 her business was so popular she closed the business to new clients except brides and those by referral. Adams said, "I want people to feel special in my clothes and when I do a custom design it is one of a kind." In 1995 due to health problems she sold her business. Jeanie Artis Adams states that she took creative license in the design of this three piece ensemble. The kimono is intended to hang open over the two piece teal silk "kimono look". One side of the skirt hem is curved to never show under the overlap. The top and skirt should line up to appear as a one piece garment. |
