Description |
Virginia Keith Snawder's (Snyder) factory Identification badge from Reynolds Metals Company in Louisville, KY, is a black and white photograph of young woman. Her shoulders and head are visible, showing a woman with hair pulled up, lipstick, and wearing a floral dress. The identification number is on the front of the badge. A clear plastic celluloid window covers the photograph and is surrounded by a round nickel-plated brass disk with a punched out center to view photograph of worker. The disk is slightly concave with stamped lettering on the side edges. There is lettering with blue enamel paint, most which is missing. The disk is crimped to the tin-plated backing. The backing has ten notches around the outer edge and the center has a circular stamped mark. The pin back consists of a iron pin attached to brass posts. The pin secures with a locking C-clasp. |
