Description |
This is a plastic name tag with an attached ribbon for the reunion of the Submarine Veterans of World War II in 1978. The nametag has a white paper insert on which is the black typed name of the donor, "ALENE ELLIOTT/ KENTUCKY". There is a dark purple satin ribbon stapled to the back of the nametag with pinked ends and a drawing of a submarine on waves of water separating metallic gold lettering that reads "U.S. Submarine/ Veterans/ World War II" and "18th Annual/ Convention/ April 6-7-8 '78/ Louisville, Ky./ DERBY CITY/ CHAPTER". There is a metal pinback attached to the back of the nametag. |

This belonged to the donor, Alene Elliott. Ewert W. Elliott and Alene Elliott both were members of the United States Submarine Veterans of World War II (USSVWWII). Ewert served aboard the USS Seal (SS-183) and the USS Macabi (SS-375) submarines in World War II. |
