This watercolor painting shows the Elkhorn creek with stony banks exposed. There is a line of thin trees on the right bank. Fall foliage can see on the left bank in the distance. |
Notes |
Elkhorn Creek is an 86 mile long stream in Fayette, Scott, Woodford, and Franklin Counties. The South Fork joins the main creek at Forks of the Elkhorn immediately east of Frankfort. This painting was collected by Sawyier's Frankfort patron, John J. King. It was printed as Paul Sawyier Galleries art print #131. |
