Description |
This painting is entitled "Demi God." A bare-backed farmer on green tractor plows a field in lower foreground with a black dog to the left. Both stare upwards at a strange angelic creature backlit by the sun. The creature is dressed in white and points one long arm toward the ground and the other off to the left. Its face has three eyes and two noses and red and green hair. This very surrealistic painting by William Petrie has a Thomas Hart Benton influence. |
