Description |
This is a pistol grip for a mine detector. The handle has two halves placed on a pivot that allows it to have a scissor like action. A rounded socket grips an extension rod. It tapers from the pivot to form a handle. A pin is placed in the hole on the handle to hold it closed. The pin is attached by a leather cord. The leather cord is broken. The grip is olive drab green. |
Notes |
Donor purchased this item at a surplus sale at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The type of detector set is common for late WWII, but in its current configuration suggests it was used up to and during the Korean War. |
