This is a bolt from the Old State Capitol. It has a flared body with a threaded end. A square nut is attached to the threaded end. |
Notes |
This is a wrought iron bolt removed from the Old Capitol Building found by workmen who put a new roof on the building and repaired the dome in 1940. According to the State Journal, "The carpenters who are restoring the dome on the Old Capitol Building have given a piece of wood taken from one of the old columns, a bolt used to fasten them to the building and some of the old nails." |
