Description |
This is a Japanese Type 14 (Test) 14mm Aircraft Machine Gun. It is a modified form of an Oerlikon Type 99. It has a long thin fluted barrel with a sheet metal shroud over the rear half of the barrel. The barrel has machined fins and grooves. There is a large wind-up cocking mechanism mounted to the right side. It has a mounting post for sights. It has a large drum release lever. The front sight, flash suppressor, breech cap and several small parts are phosphate finished. The majority of the gun is blued. |
