Color photo postcard of President Gerald Ford. He is featured wearing a dark coat with blue striped shirt and patterned tie. On the back of the postcard is amessage from sender and eight cent stamp. The manufacturer (Capsco, Inc., Washington, D.C. 2005) is listed vertically in center along with a logo at the bottom center. A short biography of President Ford is included at the top left corner stating "GERALD R. FORD, 38th President of the United States. Took office on August 9, 1974. Served as member of Congress; Minority Leader in the House of Representatives; and Vice President. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan." |

Gerald R. Ford was the 34th president of the United States of America. He had been the first Vice President chosen under the terms of the Twenty-fifth Amendment and, in the aftermath of the Watergate scandal, was succeeding the first President ever to resign. |
