Description |
This is a wide black leather physician's case. It is hinged on both top flaps. The edges are reinforced with treated cotton. There are two interior leather pockets and a leather handle on the top with buckle straps. There is a locking steel latch on the top and steel tab locks on the short sides. There are six tinplate feet on the base. |

Used by Owen County doctor Arthur Threlkeld (1862-1942). Dr. Threlkeld was a fixture in Wheatley in Owen County, although he frequently traveled as far as Carroll County. He used a horse and buggy until 1920, when he bought his first Model T. |
