Description |
This is a plaster model of Artemus High School in Knox County. The model was produced by the Works Progress Administration. The high school was also built by the Works Progress Administration. It is cast hollow. The model is at a 1/8" to 1' scale. |
Notes |
In 1934-35, the Works Progress Administration proposed a project to produce architectural models of historic buildings for museums and schools to provide employment for artists and art teachers. Around 28 of these models were produced of Kentucky sites. |
