Description |
This is a plastic name tag with an attached ribbon for the reunion of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II in 1988. The nametag has a white paper insert with the black handwritten name of the donor, "Ewert Elliot" and his home state "Fl.". The white satin ribbon is pinked on both ends, adhered to the back of the nametag and has a metallic gold drawing of a submarine on the water separating gold metallic lettering that reads "SOUTH CAROLINA/ U.S. SUBMARINE VETERANS" and "WORLD WAR II/ SWAMPFOX CHAPTER/ SOUTHERN/ REGIONAL/ CONVENTION/ CHARLESTON, S.C./ APRIL 28-29-30/ 1988". There is a metal pinback attached to the back of the nametag. |

This belonged to the donor's husband, Ewert W. Elliott. Ewert and Alene Elliott both were members of the United States Submarine Veterans of World War II (USSVWWII). Ewert served aboard the USS Seal (SS-183) and the USS Macabi (SS-375) submarines in World War II. |
