Description |
This is a hand made wooden hay fork. It has three tines and a squared off hand-sawn handle. The middle tine is the end of the handle. The other two tines were carved separately and are nailed the center tine with wire nails. |

A 19th century version of the pitch fork, used to assemble hay stacks and harvest grasses and grains. |
