Description |
This is a badge from the 1900 United Confederate Veterans (UCV) reunion that was held in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a thin and flat celluloid badge in the shape of a canteen. The first side has a blue background with a color profile image of Winnie Davis on it with the words "OFFICIAL / DAUGHTER OF THE CONFEDERACY" printed above the image. The other side has the Winnie Davis rose in a metal stand and "OFFICIAL / REUNION LOUISVILLE 1900 / Winnie Davis Rose" printed on it. The badge has a cord tie looped through two narrow openings on the upper edges of the canteen. The maker's name "THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK N.J." is printed on the lower edge that feature's Winnie Davis. |
