Description |
This is a heavy silver plate teaspoon. The handle has a vine border, a sunburst on the top, and a wildflower on a ribbon wrapped diagonally across the front. The back of the handle has a similar pattern with a simpler wildflower and no ribbon. |

Belonged to Inez Vertrees Partee, after her marriage to James Q. Partee in 1902. Inez Partee (1877-c.1967) was born in Vine Grove in Hardin County, the daughter of Glovie and William "Buck" Vertrees. She attended Georgetown College and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She met James Partee while he was preaching in Vine Grove and married him in 1902 . Partee (1876-1911) was born in Millville in Franklin County and preached at many Kentucky churches prior to moving to Missouri around 1901. He died in 1911 of tuberculosis and was buried in Frankfort Cemetary. |
