"Birds Eye View From Blanton's Hill, 1860" is a lightly colored lithograph by Hart & Mapother of Louisville taken from a photograph by C. A. Clarke of Frankfort. It is from "Sneed's History of the Kentucky Penitentiary", Frankfort, 1860. This is a view of the prison in Frankfort from Blanton's Hill (now called Fort Hill). The entire prison layout can be seen inside the walls with part of the town and the Arsenal in the background. |
