Description |
This fountain pen has a solid gold nib in a gold "sheath." It is engraved with a decorative pattern. It has a black handle. Stamped in the nib is "JOHN/HOLLAND/CIN.O./No 7." Stamped at the base of the sheath is "JNO. HOLLAND 7". |

"Gov. Beckham used this pen to sign the Legislative Bill appropriating one million dollars to build a New Capitol at Frankfort, Ky. Feb. 4, 1904. The pen was a gift for the purpose to J.C.W. Beckham from Hon. L.F. Johnson, Mr. Steele Redding, and Mr. I. Davis, citizens of Frankfort. And after signing the bill the Gov. presented it to the Society by request of the Secretary."
