This is a Triplett & Scott Rifle, a magazine rifle, with a 30" barrel that is made of steel and wood. It's a lever action that fires a .60-52 Spencer sized cartridge. The barrel twist around in relation to the butt stock in order to load a new cartridge into it. It has a flip up sight to make long range shots more accurate. It has a tube magazine that holds 7 rounds. It fires rounds at 1,025 feet per second. There were about 5,000 of these made in 1864-1865. |
