Notes |
Drexell R. Davis, a self-described "Yellow Dog" Democrat, held several elected positions in Kentucky state government. His thirty-three years of public service prompted his interest in collecting political memorabilia. Vice President Al Gore of Tennessee and his running mate, Senator Joseph Lieberman, were defeated in the 2000 presidential race by Republicans George W. Bush (Governor of Texas) and Richard Cheney (Pennsylvania). Gore narrowly won the popular vote count but lost in the electoral college. |
