Description |
This is a religious emblem Boy Scout medal from the Church of Christ. This medal has a brass pin-back clasp with a blue enameled front with the words in brass "God and Country." There is a blue ribbon attached to the clasp. A shield-shaped pendant is suspended from the ribbon by a brass loop. The brass pendant has a white enameled front with a red enameled cross that extends to each edge. The reverse is plain. |

This item belonged to Walter Baker. Baker was an attorney and state senator from Glasgow, KY. He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United State Air Force, where he served as Judge Advocate General. He also served at the Pentagon for 1981-83 as Assistant General Counsel in the U.S. Department of Defense. He was also a member of the Kentucky Air National Guard. Baker served briefly on the Kentucky Supreme Court and was a former chair of the KHS Executive Board. |
