Notes |
When missionary David Carroll Churchill returned to the U.S. with his wife Eleanor, he settled in Berea, Kentucky. Using his loom designs, he and his wife began Churchill Weavers in 1922. Eleanor Churchill designed and wove the fabrics, her husband designed and built the looms. Churchill still uses the same equipment and very similar production practices today. |
