Description |
This is a circular celluloid process metal political button for the Presidential and U.S. Senate campaigns of Ronald Reagan and Mitch McConnell in 1984. The button has a red border with white lettering that reads "THOROUGHBREDS FOR KENTUCKY" across the top and "1984" at the bottom separated by a white star on each side. The center area has a white background with oval shaped black and white photos of Reagan and McConnell. There are three red stars above the photos and black lettering above and below that read "PRESIDENT", "SENATOR", "REAGAN" and "McCONNELL". There is a silhouette of a mare and colt in black and white between two red stars below the photos. There is white lettering on the curled under edge that reads "Friends of McConnell". There is a safety pin closure attached to the back. |
