This is a campaign button from the 1904 presidential election. The button was manufactured utilizing celluloid-process with a tinplate backing. The front of the button features a portrait of Theodore Roosevelt on a gold background. The reverse features a paper label with a maker's mark and patent information. The label includes the following inscription printed in black: "Made by/ F. F. PULVER CO./ BUTTONS, BADGES./ ROCHESTER, N. Y./ Get a collection of Buttons:/ Send for Catalogue./ Patented Feb. 17, 1903, Apr. 19, 19[terminating digits missing]". |
