Description |
This is a US Marine Corps herringbone twill OD billed jeep cap. It has four vent holes, two on each side. The eagle-globe-anchor is stamped on the front. BL Mentch is stamped under the bill, and a tag is sewn at the back. |

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Bruce Mentch joined the USMC during the Korean War for fear that he would be drafted into another service. His service led him to California where he served in military intelligence as a clerk. After his service Mr. Mentch took advantage of a several job opportunities which eventually landed him at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY, where he served as their financial development officer. After retirement Mentch moved to Louisville, KY where he resides at this date. |
