Description |
This is a pair of women's United States Air Force combat boots. They are black cap toe boots with Good Year brand black rubber soles with a light tread. The uppers are constructed of six pieces with reinforced areas at the toe and heel. The soles are made of rubber and stitched with thread. There are black cotton laces threaded through nine pairs of eye holes. |

Mary Frances Clark wore all of the uniforms in this collection during her many years of service in the Air Force (1965-1993). She was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky and was the second child of Ruth and James Clark. Mary joined the USAF as a dietitian in June 1965 with the rank of first lieutenant. She was assigned at Gunter Air Force Base Alabama for basic training and was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma as Chief, Medical Food Service. She retired in June of 1993 holding the rank of lieutenant colonel, the second highest rank obtaining in the Air Force for her profession. |
