Description |
This is an unopened compact disc of Tom T. Hall's album, "The Essential Tom T. Hall: The Story Songs/ Twentieth Anniversary Collection". The disc has an unopened jewel case with original cellophane. The cover features a color image of a smiling Tom T. Hall with a sunset sky over misty mountains in the background. There is a round paper sticker adhered to the lower left corner that has a vertically divided background of dark pink on the left and turquoise blue on the right. The lettering on the sticker reads, "GREAT SOUNDS/ MORE TO PLAY/ LESS TO PAY" in white and "STDCGREATS" in blue. A list of the tracks is printed on the back as well as the title. |

Tom T. Hall was born on May 25, 1936 in a log cabin behind his grandfather's house at Tick Ridge, seven miles from Olive Hill, Ky. Through a 30-plus album career, Tom T. Hall has scored more than 50 chart hits and 20 top-10 successes. He has been called "the poet laureate of country music," and he has won several Grammy and CMA awards. He has also published six books, including a novel, a short-story collection and an autobiography. He was a national TV celebrity and a notable commercial spokesman of the 1980s. In the 1990s, he became known for his charitable activities, creative-writing workshops, and one-man shows. |
