Description |
This is a rectangular wooden butter mold. It is a simple box with finger joints. The top is secured by steel brads. There is a hole in the top that holds the dowel handle of the rectangular wooden plunger. |
Notes |
Used by Mary Minter Bailey (c. 1890-1975) of Green Hall in Jackson County. It was passed down to Bailey from her mother. She used it to make butter for sale from her home to her neighbors. |
